    We are actively seeking an experienced Retail Operations Manager to lead and develop the retail operations of GG Superstore, a large independent South Asian supermarket based in Leicester.

    This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving store performance through strong merchandising, staff management, and operational control. Applicants must have prior management experience within independent supermarkets and a strong understanding of the Leicester consumer market.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Merchandising:

    Manage shelf layouts and product displays across the store, ensuring strong visual presentation and maximum sales performance. Create promotional features and pallet deals to drive customer engagement and increase sales.

    Staff Management:

    Plan staff rotas, supervise the store team, and coordinate daily tasks to ensure the smooth running of store operations.

    Store Operations:

    Maintain high store standards across the shop floor, ensuring aisles are well stocked, clean, and organised. Oversee the daily running of the retail operation and resolve operational issues when they arise.

    Stock & Ordering:

    Monitor fast-selling products and stock levels. Place supplier replenishment orders and ensure the store maintains strong product availability.

    Team Leadership:

    Lead by example on the shop floor and support staff during busy trading periods to maintain high operational standards.

    Requirements:

    Prior management experience within independent supermarkets is essential.

    Strong knowledge of retail merchandising and supermarket operations.

    Ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced retail environment.

    Hands-on approach and willingness to work across the shop floor when required.

    Good understanding of the Leicester grocery market and customer base.

    Weekend availability is required.

  • We are seeking an experienced Warehouse & Retail Assistant to join the team at GG Superstore, a large independent South Asian supermarket based in Leicester.

    This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day running of the store through excellent customer service, accurate till operation, and maintaining high shop floor standards.

    Applicants must have previous retail experience, ideally within supermarkets or high-volume grocery environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    Tills & Customer Service

    • Operating tills and handling customer transactions accurately

    • Providing friendly and efficient service to customers

    • Assisting customers with product enquiries and general support

    Shop Floor

    • Replenishing shelves and ensuring products remain fully stocked

    • Maintaining tidy and well-presented aisles

    • Ensuring price labels and product displays are correct

    Store Operations

    • Supporting the team during busy trading periods

    • Maintaining store cleanliness and organisation

    • Assisting with general shop floor duties as required

    Requirements

    • Previous experience working in retail or supermarkets

    • Strong customer service skills

    • Reliable and able to work in a fast-paced retail environment

    • Flexible to work evenings and weekends
