  • SALES ASSISTANT – GG Superstore (Leicester)

    We’re looking for experienced retail staff only. If you’ve worked in an Asian supermarket or cash & carry, know how things run, and can handle a fast-paced store with minimal supervision — read on.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Customer Service:
      Serve customers politely and efficiently, with product knowledge specific to South Asian groceries.

    • Sales & Product Knowledge:
      Actively promote products, recommend alternatives, and upsell where possible.

    • Till Operations:
      Accurately handle transactions, refunds, and end-of-day procedures.

    • Shelf Management:
      Restock shelves, rotate stock, manage expiry dates, and ensure the store looks sharp and clean.

    • General Store Duties:
      Pack stock, maintain cleanliness, and complete ad hoc jobs without needing to be asked twice.

    Requirements:

    • Must have experience working in an Asian supermarket or cash & carry.
      If you haven’t, this role isn’t for you.

    • Fluent in Gujarati or Hindi – essential for communicating with many of our customers.

    • Weekend availability is a must.

    • Reliable, fast, and comfortable with physical work (e.g. lifting stock, moving boxes).

  • WAREHOUSE & DELIVERY OPERATIVE – GG Superstore (Leicester)

    We’re hiring a hardworking, physically fit, and experienced Warehouse & Delivery Operative to join our fast-paced team at GG Superstore.

    This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role — ideal for someone who isn’t afraid of physical work, is reliable, and takes pride in keeping things moving.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Inbound Stock Handling:
      Unload and process large deliveries, including container shipments — heavy lifting required.

    • Forklift Operation:
      Operate a forklift to move and organize palletized goods.

    • Warehouse Management:
      Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and running efficiently with minimal supervision.

    • Local Deliveries:
      Deliver wholesale and retail orders to B2B customers — must be comfortable lifting and transporting heavy goods.

    • Stock Coordination:
      Pick and prepare stock accurately for delivery and work with the wider team to maintain inventory flow.

    • Weekend Work:
      Weekend availability is essential. This role will require regular weekend shifts.

    Requirements:

    • Fluent in Gujarati – this is essential for communicating with customers and suppliers.

    • Forklift license and experience operating forklifts.

    • UK driving license and experience driving a delivery van.

    • Physically fit and capable of lifting and handling heavy loads daily.

    • Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently.
